Midtown Community Events
Midtown is the home to some of the best events, festivals, and traditions in Baltimore City.
Madison Park Community Dumpster Day
Time for some early spring cleaning! Midtown was once again able to set up our four neighborhoods with community dumpster days sprinkled throughout the year. The community association presidents will be alerted “day of the event” as to the drop off and pickup times; the drop locations were set at the time of scheduling. Generally, dumpsters are delivered sometime between 9am – 3pm, but the projected time is not provided until just before the dumpster is delivered. If you are planning to utilize the dumpsters and want to make sure you know when they will arrive, be sure to reach out to your community association president.
Fall Tree Planting: Madison Park
Join us to support the expansion of Midtown’s tree canopy.
MVBA Trees and Midtown Community Benefits District are co-hosting a volunteer tree planting event from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 21st. There will be trained tree keepers on staff to provide directions and tools provided for planting. We’ll split volunteering into teams, and complete plantings throughout the neighborhood. No experience is necessary to participate, and all are welcome!
Volunteers should plan to meet at the parking lot across from Baby’s on Fire (1010 Morton Street)
This planting is funded through the generous support of the Chesapeake Bay Trust and part of the 5 million trees for Maryland initiative. We wish to thank the Baltimore Community ToolBank as a project partner.
Alleys to Assets: Madison Park
Join us to get rid of trash, litter & weeds
Help us jumpstart our program to turn some of our dirtiest alleys into neighborhood assets, creating a sense of investment through block clean-ups, City support, and community art.
This event will take place in two locations:
Madison Park: 1800 block of Morris Street
Mount Vernon: 900 block of Hargrove Alley
Gloves, bags, tools, donuts and coffee provided!
